Review of New 22 Cubic Foot Counter-Depth French Door Frigidaire Refrigerator

This refrigerator was replacing a 9-year-old Samsung French-Door Counter-Depth Refrigerator for which the ice-maker hadn't worked properly in over 3 years and which did not maintain uniform temperatures, with items freezing in the refrigerator. It is wonderful to now have a new Frigidaire refrigerator with a working icemaker and which has so much more freezer storage as well as a flex-storage drawer with adjustable temperature setting. The storage capacity in the refrigerator portion appears comparable to what we had with the Samsung, and may even be slightly greater. The unit runs very quietly and we are very happy with our purchase from Lowes, who also did the delivery and installation and hauled away the old refrigerator.

I love it! BUT... I did not pay attention to the cooling settings in the drawer that can be really really cold or just a bit cold. So my lettuce froze until I switched to the "Chilled Beverages" settings. Operator error, obviously. I was back at the store I purchased from today and looked in the floor model and realized few features I didn't realize. Nice! Only think I can't figure out is what to put in the snack drawer! It is so shallow I don't don't know what goes in there. I don't have kids but maybe a lunchable???? Over all I love it!!

Overall I really like this refrigerator. There are two things I don™€™t like, however. First, the refrigerator has lots of features, but it doesn™€™t even come with a manual that explains what they are or how to use them. I guess it™€™s too expensive to print out a manual these days, but I am sure there are things this refrigerator does that I have no idea about. And second, the class does not come out of the shelves, so if something spills good luck getting it out from between the glass and the metal frame. I™€™ve already experienced that and it was a nightmare. I finally found what they pass off as a manual online and found nothing helpful in it at all about how to get the shelf out or clean it.

Electrical gremlin -- worrisome warranty service

Six months old, and it has an electrical problem that resulted in loss of items in the freezer. The tech they sent out may have fixed it, I don't yet know for sure, but he spent considerable time laying the groundwork for denying service by pointing out that the refrigerator was in the garage, and that the manual states the refrigerator should not be placed in an environment colder than 55 degrees. The problem with that rests in two facts. First, the refrigerator had been in the garage for fewer than 24 hours -- we had replaced it with another Frigidaire in the kitchen -- and the faulty refrigerator had been manifesting the same problem prior to being moved into the garage. Second, my garage is fully insulated and dry-walled and doesn't get below 60. It was colder when the tech was here, but that was because the garage door was open. Not long after I closed it, it was 62 degrees in the garage. It was 63 at 9:00 pm and it was 64 at 6:00 am this morning. I've attached photos documenting the temps.

Our LG refrigerator died right before Thanksgiving so we needed a new one fast. After talking to the refrigerator repairman (who couldn™€™t fix the LG), we settled on the 4 door Frigidaire with the ice and water dispenser on the outside. The price was very reasonable and we love that the configuration is very similar to the LG. My only comment is that the inside materials, like drawers and shelves, are a lower quality than the LG and the door shelves are not as wide so we™€™ve had to adjust the way we store items.

This fridge has so many great features. I love the light on the ice/water dispenser. The shelves are flexible and use the space so well. This fridge is smaller than our previous but uses the space so much better. When we moved food from our previous one it felt full and in this new fridge it felt like there was still tons of room.

I love everything about this refrigerator, there™€™s an air filter, a crisper drawer filter, and of course the water filter. The layout of the refrigerator has most of the food available in the first door, so you only have to open one door. The refrigerator™€™s crisper drawers are reversible so you can put Can sodas in it or whatever else you want. It also has a custom temperature drawer that you can use as a refrigerator, a freezer, or a wine cooler the refrigerator door also auto closes so you don™€™t have to worry about whether you™€™ve closed the door or not it has so many cool features and is perfect for what I need.

We love this new Frigidaire, the versatility of the shelves and drawers makes it even more convenient when needing extra space for larger items, even the door shelve slides over.The ice makers is very quiet and most importantly the door alert if the door is left open os not loud and intrusive, it gently reminds you that the door os not closed. The extra drawer that can be used for either extra refrigeration or as a wine holder or even for extra freezer space is very unique and comes in extremely useful when entertaining.

Great fridge with lots of storage

Our fridge was a last-minute buy™€¦ Our previous fridge (different brand) has suddenly stopped working. That™€™s when I decided I wanted a fridge that had a liability and longevity when I went shopping for a refrigerator. I came across Frigidaire. I had everything I needed and I really liked the French doors- this made seeing what I had in inventory very visible any well cohesively organized space. I™€™m glad I went with this brand and I™€™m excited every time I open it

Had this for about a month, and it is excellent so far! No problems with installation and setup (guys took only 30 minutes); features are exactly as advertised; styling matches our other stainless-steel/aluminum appliances. Plenty of shelf, door, and drawer space for the two of us. Getting this with counter-depth meant it fit exactly into our existing space while not protruding excessively into our kitchen area. Love the smaller ice cubes, they drop perfectly into my narrow-neck water bottle! Plenty of lighting inside and the self-closing refrigerator doors are a definite plus!!Since my wife has back issues, using the flexible drawer as a freezer saves her from having to pull out the entire (heavy) freezer compartment.
