A poor quality product

I do not recommend this dryer. I have had it for about three months the lettering of the control panel wipes off with just a finger touch. The words are wiping away and the controls will not be usable because I will not know eventually what each button is. LG will not take responsibility for it they tell me its a cosmetic issue even though the dryer will be unusable when all the words finally do wipe off. they told me to contact the store where I purchased it I did so and that store told me that it was LGs responsibility. I called customer service probably eight or nine times and they continue to tell me that it is my problem. LG will not stand behind their product an. They will not apologize. I find this to be a very poor product and definitely not worth the money. repair or remedy.

Extremely Disappointed Installation Was a Joke

I purchased an LG dryer directly from lg.com and paid extra for professional installation by RXO. What a mistake. The installers left the vent hose completely unattached. I pointed it out during installation and they assured me theyd fixed it but I couldnt verify because the washer was already in place. Fast forward to running the dryer for the first time: the laundry room got unbearably hot which immediately raised red flags. I had to stick my phone behind the machines to see what was going on the vent hose was barely hanging on exactly as I feared. Ive been chasing this issue for THREE WEEKS now. Every time I call they promise to send someone to fix it. Nothing happens. And now weeks later RXO tells me LG hasnt created a ticket yet. Really? Thats the excuse? Between LG and RXO the responsibility is being passed around like a hot potato. I paid for a proper installation and got empty promises and poor service instead

Cool light is always on during drying phase

Cooling light is on all the time. No matter the cycle no matter the phase of drying. The manual indicates the cooling light is on when the drying cycle is finished and the dryer is cooling down. Requested a repair. They sent a tech who told me that was normal. Either way it is wrong. The dryer is drying or cooling. the cooling light shouldnt be one constantly if it is drying. Customer service and tech said this was normal. So if normal then the manual should claim the idiosyncracy which makes no common sense. The manual makes sense the actual function does not. One is right and one is not. They should fix the machine or fix the manual and reveal the design flaw. I was told that if the clothes were drying then it didnt matter how the panel was lighting up. it says high capacity but the manual tells you not to overload. The noise level doesnt factor because the dryer is in the garage. That is poor customer service. That is poor design. That is poor after purchase service.

Have only had the dryer a few days and seems to operate fine. We wanted a pretty basic dryer and purchased one recommended by Consumer Reports the highest rated LG under $1000. Had it even occurred me to check as to whether it had a drum light I never would have selected this model. I foolishly assumed it was standard and miss the convenience of having one. Also not wild about the end of cycle tune which apparently cannot be disabled.

Terrible Product Horrible Customer Service

Bought this dryer from Home Depot 6 months ago and it is now turning off after just a few minutes. Spent almost 45 minutes with customer service trying to troubleshoot. The representative said we needed to hire someone to clean out our dryer vent. We had that done before we installed the new dryer. We shouldnt have to keep troubleshooting your product when it isnt working. Had to request a supervisor to even get a ticket opened to have a technician sent out to look at our non working brand-new dryer I do not recommend this product. Terrible customer service.

Did all the troubleshooting such as unplugging it switch the breaker checking outlet and still nothing. Ive had the dryer for 2 weeks and the dry sensor is not working. I called LG and spoke with Tiffany from Ohio after running a test they customer service rep said the vent needs to be cleaned by a professional vent cleanig service before they will send a tech to repair the dryer. garbage advise the vent is brand new and totally clean through to the outdoor grill and I verified it myself. Dont buy LG the customer service is poor and the brand new dryer doesnt work

We ordered this a week ago...got a million text messages about shipping updates etc. Supposed to get delivered today and no update so we called customer service and they informed us that our dryer wasnt even ordered though our card was charged and they didnt have the haul away of our old dryer or any record of anything. Were pretty content with our dryer. We use it for heavy loads of prefold diapers and the sensor works most of the time to get the diapers completely dry. Were a bit surprised by the energy useage when using High Heat mode though. It looks like 1 to 2 dollars per load. I wish it would specify the amperage or wattage used on each of the heat settings. Im still searching for that or considering using my power meter to determine exactly what were spending. Purchased August 2023.

The DLE6100W clothes dryer was a gift for my parents. It is a wonderful upgrade from their old dryer. It does a great job of sensing when the clothes are dry as long as you dont have a mix of heavy and light weight clothes. And youare alerted by a very pleasant chime instead of a loud buzz. The dryer is also attractive with a modern minimalist look. My parents are extremely satisfied. So am I.

Customer service gives you the run around because most are in the Philippines trying to tell you how to use your dryer. Most of their people do not own dryers Ive been there 12 times. LG customer service and Delivery Company Need Work

Not sure because I have not gotten my item. Its only been about a 4 days that I ordered my item and are having issues with customer service already. Please be mindful that the date your item is set to be delivered on the website is most likely not going to be the day you actually get the item. LG uses a separate delivery service and the day you get your item depends on their schedule. Ordered item on 12/6 with an estimated delivery date of 12/11. Today the delivery company emailed me to notify me the next time my item could be delivered was January 3rd 2025. Which is more than a month of a difference. When i tried to contact them to see if maybe I could pick it up instead since I am about 2.5hrs away they told me I had to contact LG directly. After about 30mins or so of trying to contact the correct customer service line the delivery company called me back saying my item would be delivered on 12/18 so the issue is maybe resolved? Not sure.

LG said they couldnt find a service tech and sent me some parts and a set of instructions for changing them that I cant follow. A very bad dryer bought it a month ago from Lowes. Now a month later its not drying clothes shuts down in 5 minutes by itself and clothes are not drying at all. I have been calling customer service for a long time as its brand new dryer under warranty and Lowes wont take it back too. But they are not doing anything at all. My $500 will be down the drain too. Do something LG I am seeing same complains from various customers here too did something for customer help us.

I would love to rate the actual dryer itself but it was delivered almost a week ago and still hasnt been installed. The delivery company said they didnt have the parts to install it when they delivered it and that theyd contact me within 24-48 hours later to reschedule installation. Crickets until I called again today to complain. Now Im waiting to hear back for the rescheduled installation again... Really poor customer service so far.

Its very basic just like I wanted does a great job and performs exactly the way CR described it. My Samsung was repaired 3 times and only lasted 9 years. I suspect my Samsung washer will go soon.
